The O-zone layer
The hole in the O-zone layer was discovered by researchers in the Antarctic.
Ozone (03) is a very reactive element and can be found in very high volumes in the stratosphere as this is where it is formed. However oxygen (O2) particles can be transformed in to ozone with the help of ultra violet light. Ozone has one free radical which means it is much more reactive than oxygen.
